I need a new life... This one is just too much work.... I am not happy w/most of my life... Work is not so rosy, dealing w/certain men in my life is not so rosy and hell I am TIRED!!! VERY VERY TIRED!!! BUT I did get the grocery shopping done, paid the cell phone bill, came home, cooked dinner, got the dishes done, cleaned up the kitchen a bit and took a nap.... Now that the house is finally quiet again I am going back to sleep!
I am working my thru The Da Vinci Code and it's very good.... Now if I could just find the time and quiet to read more then 2-3 pages max at a time....
Boys are doing well - Dilen got his report card yesterday - he's doing VERY well in Kindi... There was a comment about his sitting still for long periods and listening better but overall it was a great report card... I have concerns w/the comments though since this is the first time I am really hearing he has sitting issues... Maybe it IS time to see about some ADHD meds for him... Here I just thought he was only that HYPER at home... *sigh*
Well it's off to bed cause I have work tomorrow and I am sure w/the elections in Iraq we will not be totally dead tomorrow... Til next time...

Just a quick note before I head off to bed.... I just read online in the news headlines that today was the largest loss of life for our armed forces in over 15 yrs w/37 marines, sailors and soldiers killed today over in Iraq... I pray for the families of those lost.... My boss is a recently retired Marine and a wonder man - I just hope that no one he knew was lost as the Marines took the largest hit w/30 killed in the helicopter crash.... I hope that Iraq finds peace and stability... Til next time...
Ok I am gonna ask you all to keep right on having positive thoughts and prayers for my friend Jennifer... Her 2nd blood test came out LOVELY!! A nice 4600 (I think that's what she said) which is WONDERFUL and COULD indicated twins but she had EVER so light the spotting today - just a one shot deal which at such an early stage was probably just implantation spotting but she's nervous... I can FULLY understand that so keep those prayers and thoughts going... Hang in there Jennifer!! Just relax and rest!! Enjoy looking at the snow from the couch!!! {{HUGS}}

Til next time...
Well let's see - we got socked w/about 20 inches of snow over the weekend and I almost went crazy home w/the boys! *L* But I got out there and did a little shovelling in the cold fresh air on Sunday... Yes *I* shovelled!!! I took my time, took it easy and did it RIGHT!! We all know most men don't do a very neat job and I am a little anal about the shovelling looking good! *L* Yeah I caught hell for being out there but hey I am pg not dying!!! And to my neighbor's credit he helped me w/the last 1/3 or so of it... The boys actually went out to play for a bit on Monday... Tuesday we were all back to work as usual... TG!! I missed the real adult interaction and one can only do so much laundry and dishes!!
Here's a DURING pic...
And another....
And here's an after - note the nicely shovelled spot for my van! *L*
It was lovely to look at.... if only it could have been from a much warmer distance! *L* We had no cold water in the kitchen Monday til about 4pm... Seems some insulation had fallen down/out and the pipe froze... SOOOO being the card carrying member of the "Who needs a man club" that I am I opened up the skirting, climbed under, stuffed the insulation back up where it belonged and secured it, closed up the skirting again, came in and jacked up the heat for a bit.... Worked like a charm about 5.5 hrs later - cold water problem fixed!!! Caught hell for that too - ummmm I didn't do anything strenuous what's the deal??? *sigh*
And speaking of pg - I am doing well - baby is growing and moving and moving and moving... I appear to be growing too!! *L* Only about 78 more days of work if that and only about 81 days til little Ethen arrives!!!
Let's see what else?? The boys are growing like weeds and healthy.... Not too much else that I can think of at the moment but I am sure more will come to mind later... Til next time....

OH MY!! 3 updates in ONE WEEK!! *L* Can you stand it??? Well we are getting ready to buckle down for a big storm - figures it would be on a weekend when there really isn't any school or work - although I AM thinking if it's really bad Sunday I will only do part day.... We shall see...
Work is going ok - we have some "growing pains" again but hey what can ya do!!! I did find out this week that the other "day" girl has gotten a new job and won't be returning to our office from Kuwait and doesn't look like they are gonna fill her spot... I will miss her - she was a wonderful person to work with but man we were both twiddling thumbs in our a$$es some days due to lack of enough work!!! I am gonna sit w/boss on Monday and go over my plan for maternity which will have me out about 2.5 FULL weeks and then I work 3 hrs M-F and 7 hrs on Sunday bringing Ethen w/me since I will be nursing... Using that schedule I will get out daily to interact w/adults but still have plenty of time at home w/the kids AND I will only have to use the leave I have saved or will earn and not borrow a single hour.... Provided all stays well w/the pg that is... I will continue on that schedule thru the end of Aug and when the big boys go back to school full time I will go back to work full time and Ethen will stay home w/Daddy... I don't think boss will have a major problem with it at all but every one please please keep your fingers crossed....
Also keep those prayers and thoughts going for my friend Jennifer!! She got an HCG of 200++ which is good for the day or two after you late for AF!!! I am soo happy but let's keep going for her!!!
Now I wanted to share something I am TOTALLY DISGUSTED by!!!! I have a friend that I have been chatting w/for YEARS!! Literally 8+ yrs now since we "met" on the internet.... Her DH is an Army solider... He was sent to Kuwait for a yr late 2004 and for Xmas she sewed him a lovely handmade quilt and pillow... She boxed them up w/a few other little things and took them to the PO... Well she put alot of work into the quilt so she insured it for the price of the material basically - a mere 250.00... DH got the box but it looked odd... So he took pics and emailed them back - someone had opened her original box, cut off the cardboard w/the address, shipping labels, etc and taped them to a different/smaller box, put the other items in that box and sent it forward... They STOLE a quilt and pillow jsut cause it was insured for 250.00 and they thought they were getting something good I guess... I mean it was CLEARLY marked for a SOLDIER (his rank/name were in address) and ANYONE w/half a brain at the PO knows the codes for overseas address... How low and cruel and disgusting is that??? I feel soooo bad for them both.... I guess the moral of the story is don't insure things going to soldiers and be VERY careful about insuring other things you mail - you just don't know what low lifes are working in the background handling your mail!!!!!
Well I guess that's about it for now.... It's horribly cold outside, I think Dilen finally crashed and I am headed to bed!!! NIGHT ALL!!! Til next time....

Ok don't get scared now.... My brain is actually functioning enough today that I can post twice in one WEEKEND!!! *L*
Overheard yesterday between the little men - "Deven!! Why did you do that??? " "I didn't Dilen!! HONEST!" "Yes you DID!!! I can see that smug little look on your face!"
Ok WHERE exactly did my FIVE YR OLD learn to make comments about smug looks?? *L* It was definately one of the Tim "the toolman" Taylor moments when you had to keep a totally straight face yet you were DYING laughing inside!!! The boys totally amaze me everyday w/the little facial expressions and verbal knowledge they have!!!! And the moments might not come as often as I like but man it's the priceless times like that when I most remember how much I LOVE being a mom!!!!
Speaking of being a mom... As you know I still struggle w/the miscarriage I had 2 yrs ago this weekend... Even now while life grows inside me I struggle w/the worries about something going wrong at the last possible minute and while I do enjoy being pg I still spend more time then I should worrying about how things are going... I have another friend who also blogs that has been trying like many of my friends to get pg again after she too suffered a miscarriage around the same time as I... They have been doing the injectible IUI treatments recently and while she is not due for AF til Tues/Weds she got an ever ever so faint ++ on 2 tests this weekend... Besides the shock she is at the point of when do I stop worrying and start believing... I know this stage well as I think I still step back into it now again... Let's everyone try to say a little prayer for Jennifer often this week that A - she has a sticky sticky +++ and that B - she can relax and enjoy her pg!!! I know the power of prayer that my dear internet friends have so everyone start praying and sending positive thoughts!!!

OHH look!! More then one update in the same month!! *L* I am on a roll!!!!
I wanted to share New Years Eve w/you all - we decided to have a party!! This meant the boys could stay up late and we would have lots of food and fun... Well momma spent the day cleaning up the house and didn't actually start cooking til 7:30 but I made a bunch of appetizers which the boys loved - however by the time they were done we weren't really hungry so that gave us plenty of food for the next day... We played and played in between me cleaning the house as much as I could... It was lots of fun... Dilen crashed for about 10 min at 10:30 and just to be fair I attempted to wake him so he wouldn't miss the New Year... He managed to stay awake after that til 12... By 12:07 he was totally crashed again for the night but hey he got to say he was up for New Years!!! Deven and I lasted til about 1ish and then we crashed... New Years Day was a nice quiet day and we just munched on the left overs and vegged.... Much nicer then Xmas when Momma was up til 3:30 wrapping and prepping only to be awakened at 5 am to open prezzies! *L*
The New Year is starting off well for the most part - we are all working towards making it a better year as we prepare for the arrival of Ethen - which is in 92 days or so!!!! The boys are excited and apparently so is Ethen as he's becoming more and more active each day!!!
Our weather has been totally wacky lately - we had temps in the 60s last week and we are barely in the 20s and 30s this week with atleast 3 days showing flurries or such in the coming week... UGH!!! But atleast it's finally really WINTER even if it's messing w/our respitory systems... The house for the most part is staying under control which is a HUGE improvement over the last couple of months and I am happy.... LARGE and sometimes uncomfortable but happy!!
I am taking some time each Sunday to come home early and then working on Friday mornings to make up but it's nice to have a little more time home w/the boys... Work is not exactly a favorite place this past week - there are some changes going on and once again my position is being treated like a second class citizen that is to learn our place and just "shut up and color" so to speak so I am not always feeling the desire to be there but my boss is good and he hears my discontent and is on my side to find a happy place for us all... Sooo I am trying to put on a happy face and just keep to myself at work for now.... Not too much else happening...
Things are starting to move on planning an Oct 99 meet this summer - perhaps in VA near the Blacksburg area and I am excited!!! It's been decided that I SHOULD go and enjoy myself and I may even get to FLY there!! WOOO HOOOO Plus we have one of our mommas from Australia coming to the NY area in March and I will get to meet up w/her!!! It's an exciting time at the moment planning the possibilities!!!
Soooo what's happening in your neck of the woods??? Do tell!!!

Ok it's been a long while since I have visited and updated you all.... Let's see where shall we begin??? Work is good but busy I rarely get my 2 days in a row off but I take a little time here and there.... I still like my job and I love the people I work with.... The boys are growing by leaps and bounds... Deven is doing very well in school for the most part and I am sooo proud of him!! His report cards was mostly S for Satisfactory w/2 Gs for Good (better then S) and only one I for needs improvement and 3 checks meaning same in sub-categories... A HUGE improvement over his report cards last yr... AND he got an award for Reading!! Also turns out the boy really likes science!!! Dilen is also doing extremely well in Kindi and I am proud of him too!!!!!
Thanksgiving was a nice quiet and almost disappointing holiday for us... I made a wonderful turkey w/almost all the trimmings and it came out great!!! However Deven doesn't eat turkey! He actually had Spagetti Os for dinner!!!! BUT it was still nice in general....
The house is SLOWLY coming along - I am making progress in small ways and working down my list of things I want to accomplish as far as cleaning, organizing, etc....
The baby is doing wonderful!!! He's growing well and quite active the majority of the time much like his brothers! *L* Any one surprised??? Ethen Fox Alexander is set to arrive sometime approximately around the 18th of April!!! I feel good for the most part - tired often and the usual aches and pains that accompany your body housing an alien but good....
Things are going well in general for me... I have good days and bad days but overall I am trying to just keep swimming along - one day at at time....
Christmas for us was nice -I worried very much about the boys not having a good Xmas as the $$ are extremely tight and I wasn't even sure where the money would come from for presents but in the end I did manage to get them each a few things.... Since they both got 2-3 things directly off their lists to Santa and a couple little surprises thrown in as well they were thrilled and happy!! And hey I have to say not going out and spending a ton of dough on a ton of things was the perfect thing as they already have tons of crap to start with and here it is 2 wks later and they are STILL playing w/the things they got!!!!
I know there is more I wanted to say but I am suddenly having Mommyheimers! *L* SOOOO how about you all ask me questions and I will do my best to answer them.... My goal in life for the new year - besides finishing my cleaning lists is to be more active on my blog.... Help me out and put my brain to the test!!! *grin*
I hope everyone had a lovely holiday season and that you have a happy, healthy, prosperous year ahead!!! {{HUGS}}
